Reading has been my favorite pastime as far as I can remember. But I didn’t own many books. The library was my treasure hub. Then my mother got me my first penpal — Valerie Moore from somewhere in America. We wrote to each other for a couple of years until she stopped answering my letters. Then, I started writing to an imaginary penpal…
I love letter writing. But haven’t found a friend who does. I wrote to my mother for years and years, but after she died my writing days too dwindled.
Today I want to revive that bubbly feeling I get when I write and I want to do it by telling stories.
I started a blog this year. It has been frustrating learning some of the ropes of this new technology. I still don’t get it, but I don’t want to let go.
I’d like to tell you stories of imaginary people who pop into my head sometimes. I’d also like to hear your stories. Let’s be pen pals. xoxo Selma
